Harsh Winter Looms Amid Gas Shortage + Video
As the gas shortage in the country intensifies and concerns grow over energy supply in the coming cold season, stricter limits on gas consumption by households and industries are being considered, along with possible remote work for employees and the move of school and university classes online.
With the worsening gas imbalance in the country and increasing concerns about energy supply in the cold season of the year, the possibility of imposing more restrictions on gas consumption in the domestic and industrial sectors, the possibility of remote working of employees and the virtualization of school and university classes have been raised.
According to Ambassador Arjan, as the cold season approaches, complaints about the worsening gas imbalance have increased once again. This challenge has existed in the past years as well, but due to the damage caused to South Pars facilities during the recent war, it has become more worrying.
Although it is reported that some of the damaged capacities have returned to operation, there are still serious doubts about the amount of energy supply in the coming months. Meanwhile, the possibility of virtualization of schools and universities as well as remote working of employees with the aim of managing energy consumption has also been raised.
