Good Night to the Mind That Still Has a Meeting
The house has grown quiet, the lights are off, and no one needs anything from you anymore. Yet this is exactly when the mind begins. It replays the morning conversation, builds scenarios for tomorrow, and pulls out a memory you thought was long over. Your body is in bed, but your mind still sits at the desk, flipping through the day's files.
According to ambassador Arjan; Maybe you ask yourself why I can't close my eyes and sleep like others? But you don't know about other people's night. Behind these silent windows, many people are awake with thoughts that they have not had the chance to hear during the day. When the noise and traffic is less, the thoughts are heard louder. But every thought that came to you tonight is not going to be answered tonight.
If your mind keeps reminding you of something, turn on a small light for a few minutes and write on a piece of paper: What worries me? What should I do tomorrow? What is out of my control right now?
You don't have to find a solution. Just get the files out of your head and put them on paper. Then go back to simple things right now; The contact of your head with the pillow, the weight of the blanket, the sound of the street and the slow movement of your breath.
If a thought comes again, don't fight it. Just notice it and slowly return your attention to this moment. Your mind is not going to be completely quiet tonight. He just needs to know that the meeting is not over, but the continuation is for tomorrow.
Ask yourself: Is this thought that is keeping me awake now asking me to do something for tonight or just to make sure I remember tomorrow?
If something is needed, write it down. If you can't do anything, leave it for tomorrow. Tonight you don't need to understand the past, predict the future or close all the files of life. You have taken enough care of life today.
Good night to the mind that still has a meeting; Some meetings can be left for tomorrow.
