Al-Wahdeh did not allow me to leave even with two million euros / the reaction of the nationally dressed legionnaire to the offer of Persepolis and Tractor

After confirming the offers of Persepolis and Tractor, Mohammad Ghorbani announced that the Al-Wahdeh club did not want to leave him and by setting a heavy amount, prevented the national midfielder from returning to Iranian football.

According to "Varzesh Se", Mohammad Ghorbani, who was one of the options considered by Persepolis and Tractor at the beginning of the season, said in an interview with the "Football Nights" program about the negotiations for his return to the Premier League: "There were proposals and talks were held with two clubs, but Al-Wahdeh did not agree." "In the end, it was decided to stay in the UAE and continue my contract with the club."

He said about his personal desire to return to Iran: "It was not just about my interest. I had a contract with Al-Wahdeh, I was a permanent player of this team, and the club had to issue consent for any decision. "It bothered me a little, but I left everything to the club and said that whatever happens, I hope it will be in my favor."

The midfielder of the national team explained about the amount requested by Al-Wahdeh for the issuance of his consent: "Many people asked me about the amount of the consent. One day the club announced that it wanted to receive one million euros, the next day it wanted two million euros. I think they didn't have a definite decision to sell me and put forward a figure that would make it difficult for me to leave. Maybe by announcing this figure, they wanted to give an official answer to the club that wrote to recruit me."

Ghorbani, in response to the question of whether he had requested the managers of Al Wahda to reduce the amount of the consent, said: "The club was not interested in my separation. This year, we have the Asian tournament ahead of us and the club managers want us to get good results in the league as well. For this reason, they preferred me to stay in the team, and I think the amount of the consent letter was determined for the same purpose."

He did not rule out the possibility of returning to the Iranian league in the half-season, but emphasized that a decision has not been made yet and said: "We cannot talk about the future with certainty. I have a contract with Al Wahda this season and next season and I am currently a player of this club. "I will try my best to give the best performance and we will have to see what happens in the future."

Regarding which Iranian team he has been a fan of since childhood, Ghorbani preferred not to mention his name and said: "Well, naturally, every player is a fan of a certain team since childhood and it cannot be hidden, but when you enter professional football, you must give 100% of your strength for each team you play and respect the shirt you are wearing." It is the same for me, and in every team, whether inside Iran or abroad, I do my best to provide the best performance."

Midfielder Al Wahdeh continued to discuss the intense competition of the contenders of the Iranian Premier League and said: "It is not possible to say which team has the best chance of winning the championship, because there are many matches left. Persepolis, Tractor, Esteghlal, Sepahan and Foulad have a chance to win the championship. "A team can become a champion that wins big games and uses these matches to create distance from its rivals."

Ghorbani also said about Al Wahda's situation: "We did not start the season well, we had several injured players and we could not play with a fixed lineup. However, we got good results in the last few matches. We have won both our games in the second level of the Asian Champions League and are at the top of the table."

He then evaluated the recent FIFA match and the meeting of the Iranian national team against Russia and said: "The meeting with Russia was a very good match. If it were not for the problems that arose for Russian football and this team could compete in Europe, I say with certainty that it would be among the top 10-12 teams in Europe. They have some high-level players who play in big clubs. Russia had more possession, but we also created good chances according to the wishes of the technical staff and could have scored. We were a bit unlucky and I hope we will have better performance and results over time."

Ghorbani said about Iran's prospects in the Asian Nations Cup: "Definitely everyone expects the Iranian national team, because our country has always been one of the great powers of Asian football. However, it is not possible to predict the position of the team now, because all the Asian teams have improved. UAE also has many foreign and hybrid players and is considered one of the contenders and 10 main players of this team are foreigners. We have to prepare well and go through the matches one by one. We should not think about the final and the championship from the first game. We have to move forward step by step so that we can achieve the result that people expect."

In the end, the Iranian national player said about Uzbekistan becoming one of Iran's serious rivals: "It is true that they have been able to beat us in the last two or three matches, but the fact is that Iran has always been a bigger team than Uzbekistan." In the past, our main competitors were Japan and South Korea, but now many Asian teams have progressed. "Our focus is on our team and I hope that with proper preparation, we will get a better result against Uzbekistan in the next match."
