25% Share of Oil and Gas Failed to Offset Electricity Shortages in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad

Yasuj – The managing director of the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Electricity Distribution Company said the province's one percent share of the country's population and its access to 25 percent of oil and gas resources do not offset the lack of funding, which he cited as one of the challenges in developing the power grid.

Yasouj, CEO of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad Power Distribution Company, said: The province's share of 1% of the country's population and having 25% of oil and gas resources, the lack of credits is one of the challenges of developing the electricity network.

According to Mehr reporter, Rasool Raoushi mentioned the limitation of financial resources, the challenges of the network and the necessity of preparation for the winter season as important activities of this group during the meeting to examine the electricity problems of Boyar Ahmad region on Wednesday afternoon.

Referring to the economic capacities of the province, a villager said: Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad, with one percent of the country's population, contains 25 percent of the country's oil and gas, but it does not have enough provincial revenues to develop infrastructure.

He added: The province does not have large industries like Tehran and Isfahan to help develop the network, nor does it have sources of income that match the existing needs. In such a way that the budget of 50 to 60 billion Tomans against the need of 1000 billion Tomans has made it difficult to secure credits and implement programs.

The CEO of Kohgiluyeh and Boyar Ahmad Power Distribution Company, appreciating the efforts of the electricity industry employees, said: The working conditions of some forces, including drivers and meter reading officers, are difficult, but with the efforts of the employees, the situation has improved compared to the past.

Intelligent management of electricity losses and dealing with unauthorized consumption

Referring to the measures taken to manage the electricity network, a village announced the use of smart methods and artificial intelligence in controlling consumption and managing losses.

Stating that consumption exceeding the capacity of fuses and the existence of unauthorized subscribers are among the problems of the network, he stated: These issues are being pursued with the implementation of necessary measures and the cooperation of provincial officials.

Prepare the electricity industry of Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad for winter

Referring to the hot summer and the recent war conditions, the CEO of the Kohgiluyeh and Boyar Ahmad Electricity Distribution Company paid attention to the efforts of the employees to continue providing electricity to the subscribers.

Referring to the martyrdom of Mohammad Baqer Mohammadi, operator of Guyana Post, in the enemy missile attack, he said: Despite the attacks on energy facilities and power plants, the employees of the electricity industry were able to provide electricity to the subscribers with their efforts.

Emphasizing the necessity of all-round preparation for the winter season, a villager added: We have a tougher winter ahead and we must be ready at all levels; Because the enemy has no mercy on the school, hospital and electricity network.

He clarified: In case of issuing a power cut order, there must be full preparation to manage the situation and implement the orders.

Emphasis on credit follow-up and holding monthly meetings

At the end, a villager demanded to hold special monthly meetings to investigate the electricity problems of Boyar Ahmad region and emphasized on using the capacity of the province's representatives to attract the required funds and credits.

He pointed out: We must use the capacity of the provincial representatives to attract funds and credit; People's right is more than this and our duty is also more than this.
