Yazd - Deputy Director of Planning and Economic Development of Yazd Management and Planning Organization, referring to the reduction of the time of research activities by artificial intelligence, called for the reform of the cost structure and a review of the credit criteria.

According to Mehr reporter, Jafar Rahmani on Tuesday morning at the third meeting of the Education, Research, Technology and Innovation Working Group of Yazd Province, which focused on "Artificial Intelligence in Research; "Yes and Nos" was hosted by the Management and Planning Organization of Yazd Province, stating that the speed of evolution of artificial intelligence tools is undeniable, he stated: The main question today is not "to use or not", but how to "intelligently face" and correctly direct this technology in the scientific and executive processes of the province.

Referring to the management challenges caused by this technology, he added: reproductive tools have multiplied the speed of producing research literature and strategic drafts, but on the other hand, challenges such as "validation", "authenticity of data" and the risk of "superficiality" in outputs have threatened the research system.

The need to modify the financial models of research projects

Rahmani pointed out the consequences of this development on the budgeting system and said: due to the reduction of the time for conducting time-consuming research activities by artificial intelligence, it is necessary to adapt the cost structure, financial monitoring models and credit allocation criteria to the province's research projects in order to ensure the efficiency of public investments.
