Conducting the population and housing census for the first time by relying on the information of the systems

Karaj - The head of Alborz Management and Planning Organization said: Population and housing census is being conducted for the first time in the country with the basis registration method and relying on the information of the systems of the executive bodies.

According to Mehr reporter, Tawheed Shirizad, the head of Alborz Province Management and Planning Organization, announced the implementation of population and housing census using the base registration method for the first time in the country and said: In this method, demographic information is mainly collected through the information systems of executive agencies, and visiting homes in person is reserved for limited cases.

Referring to the fact that the last population and housing census was conducted in 2015, he said: In the new method, the required information is received from the systems of institutions such as the Ministry of Health, Education and Culture, the banking system, the Civil Registration Organization, the Ministry of Interior, and Faraja in order to obtain a more accurate picture of the population and the place of residence of people.

He added: Despite the use of system information, in some cases, due to the relocation of people, non-registration of residential address or incomplete information, it is necessary to visit in person to complete the data.

The head of the management and planning organization of Alborz province, stating that the statistics officers are undergoing a training course, said: visiting homes will start from the beginning of November and may continue until the end of this month at the latest. These referrals are made in specified areas and blocks, and if needed, completing the information through a phone call is also on the agenda.

Increase planning accuracy with data integration

Emphasizing the importance of information integration of executive bodies, Shirizad said: communication and matching of data in government systems can increase the quality of the country's statistical information and provide the basis for more detailed planning in different sectors.

He continued: The information obtained from the census is used in various fields, including population planning and targeting of subsidies, and can help to make more accurate and data-based decisions.
