Seyed Abbas Salehi, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, offered condolences on the passing of Ayatollah Haj Seyed Alireza Heydari in a statement.

"The death of the pious scholar and pious jurist, Hazrat Ayatollah Haj Seyed Alireza Heydari, one of the honorable figures of science and religion in the land of Yazd, caused sadness and emotion.

His scientific and spiritual heritage, which was connected with the virtue of morality, humility and effort to guide and untangle the work of the people, will remain in the religious and cultural memory of this land.

I offer my condolences for the loss of this wise cleric to the seminaries, noble and scholarly people of Yazd province, students and devotees, and especially to his holy house, and I ask from the door of Hazrat Haqq, for that divine scholar, great mercy, exaltation and companionship with the saints, and for the honorable survivors, patience and reward.
