Cash voucher increase hits self-declaration deadlock | 3 serious criticisms of the credit increase plan
A malfunction in the "My Government" system and difficulties in registering information have stalled the rollout of the new phase of the cash voucher credit increase, even though the government has comprehensive data on the public and has stressed the high effectiveness of this information, particularly in the cash subsidy elimination process.
The disruption of my government's system and the difficulty of recording information have made it difficult to implement the new stage of increasing the credit of Kalaberg; This is despite the fact that the government has access to comprehensive information about the people and has emphasized the high efficiency of this information, especially in the case of removing the cash subsidy.
According to Ambassador Arjan, the government finally decided to increase the credit card of about half of the Iranians living in the country; An issue that was the subject of serious criticism, but he immediately took an initiative in the way of increasing the credibility of the beneficiaries, so that the previous criticism was completely forgotten and new criticisms started.
In the first stage, about 11 million people under the support institutions received an increase of 500,000 tomans in Kalaberg credit, and then it was decided that within a limited period, other eligible households should register their application after receiving the SMS, by referring to the national window of smart government services and completing the information.
This method became problematic from the very beginning due to the high volume of referrals and the disruption of the system; A number of households could not register their information directly or through the Internet cafe within the set deadline, while there was no news of the extension of the registration deadline.
The essence of the story seems to be that the government, contrary to the legal obligation to maintain the purchasing power of Kalaberg credit, has reduced its obligation to half of the population and has done the same, regardless of the increase in the price of basic goods, by applying a maximum increase of 500,000 tomans; In addition, a new burden called self-declaration has also been imposed on the households, which costs both if they go to the Internet cafe and if it is not done within the stipulated time, it will lead to the exclusion of the household from the additional credit. With the current plan, the ball that the law threw in the ground of the government has easily fallen into the ground of the people.
The government spokesperson said that the self-declaration is done by the head of the household to verify the correctness of the information, and the additional credit will be given to the beneficiaries only if the conditions are met, and if the information is proven to be incorrect, the amounts paid will be refundable according to the rules.
The main question is that if the government has the power to identify those eligible for additional credit and send SMS to them, why did it require self-declaration and not remove half of the country's population from additional credit based on the same information available to it?
Regardless of how much self-declaration can lead to improvement in the intersection with the existing information of the Iranian welfare base, in the implementation of such plans, the capacity of the systems and the access conditions of the people should be taken into consideration, along with the necessity of checking the information.
