"Bad Fairies" is about characters who break the rules to do good, and Cynthia brings that spirit to everything she does, so there was no better way to share that message than on stage at the Hollywood Bowl in her voice, said Bill Damaschke, president of Warner Bros. Animation Pictures, in a statement. With Kylie, Jonathan and Catherine joining him, we have a cast as bold and cheerful as the film itself.
“From the moment we started developing Bad Fairy, we knew it was exactly the kind of story Locksmith was here to tell: funny, surprising and full of heart,” said Natalie Fisher, CEO of Locksmith Animation. Cynthia Erivo's incredible voice has been the soul of this film since she came on board, and we're thrilled to have Kylie, Jonathan and Catherine bring their enormous talents to these characters.
Minogue said: "I am so excited to be a part of 'Bad Fairies' alongside Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Groff and such a brilliant group of voices. "And being able to play both cat and witch? It's a little magical, a little mischievous, and a whole lot of fun."
Director Megan Nicole Dong says, “Clauder had to be impossibly glamorous and hilariously chaotic in the same breath, and Kylie was always the dream. He has made the character completely his own and he brings this amazing energy to the booth that ends in every frame.
"Our animators build on the instincts of legendary actors and our comic timing to create characters that feel more real and life-like, finding the character at the exact same time, everything that Robin Goodfellow needs, comedy and heart in one character," co-director Jonathan Olivier Stafilas said.
