Kabaddi Will Soon Become an Olympic Sport / Some People Come to Minab Just to Take Photos / Hormozgan Steel Club’s Target Audience Is Local Youth

The President of the Kabaddi Federation and CEO of Hormozgan Steel Club attended a meeting of the Sports Working Group of the Islamic Coalition Party.

According to Ambassador Arjan, the weekly meeting of the sports working group members of Mutalfa Islamic Party was held in the presence of Hossein Maghgi, the CEO of Hormozgan Steel Sports Cultural Club and Abbas Orsji, the head of Iran Liver Federation and Asian Confederation.

At the beginning of this meeting, Mohammad Reza Tehrani, the head of the sports working group of Mutalfa party, referring to the winning of 19 gold medals by the sports delegation to the Nagoya Asian Games, despite the imposed and unequal war conditions that have ruled our country for the past two years, called this success a sign of the tireless efforts of some athletes and teams who worked with a goal and plan.

The head of the sports working group of Mutalfe party added: Of course, we should not forget that about 15 federations, including football, fencing, shooting, archery, cycling, water polo, horse riding, badminton, judo, boxing, handball, golf, etc. appeared very weak and criticized, and in this regard, the federations should be unsuccessful and the sports officials should be held accountable for why they returned empty-handed despite spending a lot of money.

Criticizing some sports officials who try to confiscate the success of teams and athletes in their name by appearing in various media, Tehrani emphasized: Iran's share in the total number of medals distributed in Nagoya was only 3%, while most of our medal winning disciplines were present in Nagoya.

In the continuation of the meeting, a number of members of the sports working group, while expressing their views and points of view, raised questions to which the guests gave their answers accordingly.

In this regard, Abbas Orsji, the head of the liver federation, said: Liver is one of our indigenous sports that is rooted in the culture of this land, however, not much time has passed since the establishment of the liver federation in Iran, but within this short period, 31 provinces became active. From this group, 21 provinces are represented in the men's national team. There is also good progress in the women's section

we have had Kebadi won gold in the Asian Games in Jakarta and was second after India in Nagoya, while technically we were no less than them and we deserved to win the gold.

The head of the Kabaddi Federation stated: Remember that 200 million people play Kabaddi in India, of which 20 million are organized athletes and special attention is paid to them.

will be They have several leagues, the highest of which is the World Stars League, fortunately, some of our athletes also play in this league. Even the best player in this league was an Iranian.

Orsji continued: After winning the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games, we lost to the Indians in the 2026 Hangzhou Games with a small margin. In the finals of the Asian Games in Nagoya, our girls also lost to the Indian team by a small margin, but in my opinion, their silver was not less than gold, although I personally had high hopes for them to win the gold. They tried very hard to be the first and be able to raise the flag of our country above all, but it was not possible, when the gold was lost, they were the most upset. Be sure that these girls will fight for gold in the next Asian Games. High morale, combativeness and team cohesion are the keys to the success of Kebadi women. We have trained a young team with a future, whether I am there or not, they will go their own way. Maybe a few months when I wasn't there and the federation was run by a supervisor, there was a disruption in the process of success.

The head of the Asian Liver Federation stated in another part of his speech: The Asian Games are over and we have to plan for the future from now on. I believe that every single day of neglect can take us one step away from our goals. Strengths and weaknesses should be examined and shortcomings should be eliminated. In terms of infrastructure, we need more facilities. If the planning is principled, we will not change with the change of people. Whenever we get out of the daily routine in sports, we will achieve success sooner. In several Asian Games, the number of our medals is almost in the same trend. If we want to progress, we have to plan. We have talented future makers in all sports fields, but we are not looking for these talents. The IQ of Iranians is higher than many countries. They fix this gap with planning and order, but we lose talents because we don't have a plan!

In the end, the head of the Asian Liver Confederation emphasized: We will soon open the headquarters of the Asian Liver Confederation on Hijab Street. I am confident that in the not too distant future, Kebadi will make it to the Olympics, perhaps this will be achieved in the 2036 Olympic Games, which the Indians are requesting to host.

Hossein Maggi, CEO of Hormozgan Steel Cultural and Sports Club, was also a guest at the meeting of the Mutalfa party's sports working group, and regarding the questions raised and the field of activity of this club, he said: "I am happy that by the grace of God, I have been assigned a responsibility so that I can serve the good people of Hormozgan province in the field of sports." We can confidently admit that we are the only club that has covered 30 sports teams with mostly local players. Most of these teams in the fields of football, futsal and beach football include both men and women age groups. We also have sailing, basketball, volleyball, fitness and diving. The reason for the large number of our football and futsal teams is due to the acceptance of this sport by the people of the region, the presence of steel teams in the Premier League and lower categories, and most importantly, the fact that the athletes of these fields are local. However, we are trying to reduce the number of football teams as much as possible and turn our approach towards the Olympic disciplines.

The Managing Director of Foulad Hormozgan Cultural and Sports Club added: Hormozgan Foulad management's approach to sports is completely professional and accurate, this helps us not to get caught up in wasting opportunities and time-consuming justifications. In Hormozgan, due to special weather conditions and high air temperature, we need suitable sports halls so that people can use these facilities. Especially in Minab city, where the people are mourning the loss of students during the brazen bombing of Shajre Tayyaba school, we need space and conditions where the people of the region can strengthen their spirit. Of course, life goes on in Hormozgan and people continue their lives without being afraid of the noise of the enemy.

An official also pointed to the martyrdom of Minab school students by the Zionist American enemy and noted: This incident was so disgusting that language cannot express it. The least we could do was to help people have healthy fun and spend time in the sports environment, which we did as much as we could and will continue to do. In this regard, not only did we provide the necessary support in the construction of the damaged school, but also the construction of a good artificial grass field and some other assistance were also on the agenda. It is regrettable to say that some went to Minab to take a souvenir photo and return!

In the end, the official emphasized: Considering that Foulad Company is a working environment, the relevant officials are considering to activate and support the working sports sector separately while working in the professional sports sector. The goal is to gradually build steel sports infrastructures so that the company's professional sports and workers can use it. Hormozgan Steel Club will continue to serve the good people of Hormozgan, especially Minab city. A lot of work has been done, but there are still other measures that will be followed up due to the support and positive attitude of the company's officials, especially Engineer Rahim, the hardworking CEO of this complex, and other stakeholders and managers of the province.
