Zelensky once again expressed concern about the severe shortage of Patriot interceptor missiles
According to him, Kiev is trying to get these missiles not only from the United States, but also "working" with European partners and other countries.
Brussels, October 16. /TASS/. Volodymyr Zelenskiy has once again complained that due to the conflict in the Middle East, Ukraine is forced to purchase interceptor missiles for the American-made Patriot air defense systems one by one from the countries that are willing to provide them.
"At the moment there is a severe shortage. Most of the PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles have been going to the Middle East for some time. This is not a secret. We are not the first priority when it comes to the allocation of PAC-2 and PAC-3 missiles," he told a briefing in Brussels.
According to Zelensky, Kiev is trying to get these missiles not only from the United States, but also "working" with European partners and other countries. "We are working with Europe and the rest of the world, and we are collecting two, five or 10 missiles at a time, whatever we agree on," he said.
The Washington Post previously reported that Ukraine's military has nearly exhausted its stockpile of Patriot missiles and deliveries have been irregular since May. For its part, CNN reported that Kiev has been warning its partners for months that Patriot interceptor missiles, which are currently in short supply everywhere, have run out.
